Akashic Readings
A spiritual fact that is becoming more and more accepted in the west is that our souls have incarnated upon the earth multiple times and have lived a succession of many meaningful lives.
The idea of “reincarnation” is a natural process of the soul and it’s growth, each life contributing to and gradually shaping and refining it’s overall character and traits.
The memories of these lives are retained in great detail deep within the unconscious mind, in a very subtle etheric strata known as the Akasha, or as the great Edgar Cayce commonly termed it, the Akashic Record.
Tapping into the Akashic Record to view your soul’s history is known as Reading the Akasha.
One can be trained to access the Akasha, and many do.
In fact, some become extremely proficient readers of the Akasha and use their abilities to access it on the behalf of others and report back to them their findings.
Regardless of the conduit, whether the information comes from your personal viewing or from that of another, the primary purpose of accessing the Akashic Record is to learn more about yourself.
By searching the progressive history of our soul, we are afforded an incredible opportunity to understand, on a profound level, why we are the way you are.
Maybe even more importantly, we can discover what karmic influences (if any) may be affecting our present incarnation.
What is most astonishing is that we ALL have the ability to connect with this library of the soul to discover guidance, wisdom, and a deeper understanding of our existence.
WHAT ARE THE AKASHIC RECORDS?
The Akashic Records are a universal memory of existence, an etheric archive where the information pertaining to every soul is retained, a non-physical space where every event, thought, action, and emotion is recorded.
Every action, every spoken word, and every harbored thought leaves an imprint on the Akashic Field.
This archive not only preserves the history of each individual life and its interpersonal connections but also captures universal dynamics, providing a comprehensive perspective on the soul’s journey and its evolution through time.
These records are seen as a part of the universal consciousness, linking all beings and all levels of existence, and connecting the past, present, and potential future lives.
The Akasha is accessible through specific meditation techniques and spiritual practices, and can be consulted for spiritual guidance, healing, understanding of behavioral patterns, karmic relationships, and life’s purpose.
The Akashic Records are a profound source of spiritual knowledge and by accessing this wisdom, one can explore a wide range of topics, from viewing historical events to answering existential questions.
We can use the Akasha to discover the roots of any life difficulties that may persistently plague, allowing us to find the path to real transformation and significant spiritual growth.
HISTORY AND ORIGIN
The Akashic Records, as understood in the modern context, were first brought to prominence by Helena Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical movement in the late 19th century.
Blavatsky introduced the concept to the West after her studies and experiences in Tibet, where the monks there revealed to her that the Biblical “Book of Life” exists in the “Akasha” or “Akasa” — a Sanskrit word meaning the aether, or astral light, or upper heavens.
Supported by those she called “Masters of the Ancient Wisdom,” she was trained to access the Records, which led to her establishing the theosophical credo that proclaimed “there is no religion higher than truth.”
Her teachings and revelations attracted many followers and helped solidify the idea that human actions, words, and thoughts leave lasting impressions on the etheric plane.
Rudolf Steiner, another influential metaphysician, also spoke about the Akashic Records, conceptualizing them as a compendium-library that stores every event that has or will ever happen, influencing contemporary thought and applications in the field of human evolution.
Edgar Cayce, known as America’s “sleeping prophet,” further popularized the Akashic Records during the 20th century through his psychic readings, detailing how each individual could access the records of their past, present, and future lives to facilitate healing and personal growth.
According to Cayce, these records not only document every life but are also play a fundamental role in the soul’s judgment process—an idea that strongly resonates with the Christians.
Contemporary exploration of the Akashic Records has been advanced by theorists such as Ervin Laszlo, who integrates the notion of Akasha with scientific theories to explain phenomena such as consciousness and synchronicity in his “Akashic Paradigm.”
The Akasha is a living archive that captures the life and evolution of every being in the universe.
AKASHIC READINGS
An Akashic Reading is where a trained reader accesses the Records on behalf of a non-reading seeker for the purpose of transmitting specifically sought knowledge back to the seeker.
Traditionally, readings were conducted in person, but in recent years, with the rise of internet communication, online Akashic Records readings have become increasingly popular.
*I provide such readings.
The questions for an Akashic Reading can be as varied and profound as the concerns of the seeker.
Ideally, questions should be open-ended and oriented toward personal inquiry, guidance, and growth, avoiding those that require simple yes or no answers.
Some common questions that an akashic reading can help answer are:
- What is my purpose in this life?
- What lessons do I need to learn from my past experiences?
- What karmic lessons am I learning in this life?
- What is the root cause of the problems currently haunting me?
- What blockages are preventing me from moving forward?
- How can I achieve greater balance and success in my life?
- How can I use my talents to serve others?
WHO CAN READ THE AKASHIC RECORDS?
Despite popular assumption, reading the Akashic Records is not an ability reserved exclusively for mediums or people with psychic gifts.
In fact, anyone interested in their spiritual development can learn to access this source of wisdom.
Special talents are not required—what matters is sincere commitment, patience, preparation, and a clear intention.
For those interested in beginning on this path, a valuable option is to consult with an experienced Akashic Records reader, as this allows one to become familiar with the process..
With time and practice, usually years worth, many become quite proficient at viewing the Records.
Consistent ongoing practice is the key — each reading session helps refine the ability to perceive and communicate the subtle energies and information of the Akashic field.
Many readers, as they learn and master the art, experience significant growth in their spiritual understandings as they continue working with the records.
Learning to read the Akashic Records is, in itself, a path of self-knowledge and responsibility, allowing each individual to reconnect with their purpose and accelerate their growth and transformation.
Many practitioners begin their learning by attending workshops and courses offered by experts, who teach access techniques and methods for interpreting the information received.
In addition to in-person courses and workshops, there are numerous online resources, such as books, videos, and webinars, that provide detailed instructions on how to access and read the Akashic Records.
MY PROCESS
In terms of accessing the Akasha, there are two specific times in the day that work best for me:
- The morning, soon after waking.
- Mid-day, during my daily meditation.
Thus, I make a maximum of two akashic readings per day, each viewing consumes 1-2 hours, and due to this limitation there are occasionally times when I have a backlog of waiting clients.
The way in which I access the Records is very much in line with Edgar Cayce’s method.
I enter a dreamlike state and experience the Akashic Records as though I were having a lucid dream.
For me, the experience is as though I am in an actual library and I interact with a “librarian” who fetches the books I need that contain the knowledge I am after.
This librarian, in a sense, dictates what I am allowed to view and what I am allowed to reveal to others.
Yes… some things are off limits, and for good reason.
ETHICAL PROHIBITIONS
The Akashic Records have guardians—beings of light and ascended masters—that are always present to ensure that any interaction there is strictly for the benefit of the seeker.
It’s a sacred place and these guardians know your intentions from the instant you arrive.
For me, the “librarian” serves this function.
The Records cannot be accessed for malevolent purposes. Period.
You cannot use them to “spy on” someone or infringe upon the spiritual sovereignty of another — it will be known if you have permission to view another person’s soul history.
Another aspect that must be addressed is accessing the Records of children.
Many parents want to know more about their child’s soul, past lives, etc… I get this request very often.
With rare exception have I been granted access to someone’s Records who were under the age of 13.
I understand that parents mean well, but to invade a child’s soul journey and influence it in a time when they might not fully grasp or understand their own spiritual sovereignty is a transgression and is not allowed.
Simply put, we must be “of age” before Akashic access is granted for a soul.
